Intermitent Slipping Clutch

Advice needed on odd problem..

Getting occasional clutch slip, only happened a few times.

Spec is 4age on Type 9, cable clutch (light pedal BTW)

when doing a part throttle, mid revs generally lazy change (3rd / 4th or 4th / 5th) get occasional clutch slip.

Full bore max revs haven't had a problem.

Only thing I can think of is a sticking release bearing? Anybody got any ideas (apart from the obvious solution of giving it more death..) or possible other causes, or better still solutions..

mine used to act strange, till i re-routed the cable... worked ok when hot and semi molten from the manifold, but wasnt right when cold

the time it took to get ok though, varied from 2 mins to about 1/2 hour ?

may be the same , maybe not
