Radiator Clearance+position

I plan on using the Rad and oil cooler from the donor bike, but not sure if it will fit.

don't have my nosecone yet, so just a guide at the moment .

the rad/oil cooler together are 480mm wide and 420mm high.

positioned at the very front of the chassis they "stick up" above the top chassi rails by approx 50mm.

its a book chassis and i plan on using either luego or GTS bodywork.

can anyone with this chassis/bodywork combo have a quick measure of your rad for me???.

also if this won;t fit would there be any problem fitting the Rad etc further back towards the engine (approx in line with FU1/FU2)??

cheers
Ray

Put my oil cooler on the top rail to the top and behind the rad. It clears the nose cone just and is in some reasonable air flow. If you look into the subject their are some sites which advocate the placing of the oil cooler in front of the radiator. Myself I 've put it in a secondary position and placed vents above it to allow for the escape of hot air (particularly at standstill).

Its a 15 row mocal unit.
