Improved Megajolt map for Pinto
I spent much of last weekend driving with the laptop connected playing with ignition settings.
I have given more advance and moved it down the rev range which seems to have found a lot more midrange and better economy.
I still feel that there is more to go but it is noticably better now. 90mph was less than 1/4 throttle!!

Do you use an air/fuel ratio device when doing yours?

No. I know the mixture is good at most throttle openings but is very rich just above tickover. I am looking at new pilot jets to fix this.
I am just altering timings them driving various types of road including low revs up hills to test for pinking. I feel I still need more timing at
medium throttle openings but this needs to be done progressively as each adjustment potentially brings higher revs for lower throttle openings.
I also feel I can bring in the total advance earlier but I will probably only find out once I get on a rolling road.
I have copied the map into my photo archive.
