Winter Project
I have been offered a 2.0 Zetec so will be swapping from a Pinto through the winter. I will aslo be going to Megasquirt and TBs.
I have been searching and reading so think I have covered everything.
Engine.
Lightweight flywheel (a steel one of eBay sounds good!!)
Clutch and bearing (Can I use the 2.0 ones?)
Spigot Bearing for end of crank
Starter of CVH.
Inlet manifold
TB's
M'squirt
Fuel pump and Surge Tank.
Exhaust manifold and system.
Modded alternator mounting
Modded water pump and water piping
Fabricate engine mountings
Shortened sump.
Have I forgotten anything??
I will also have a rebuilt, cammed 2.0Pinto for sale with R1 carbs and Megajolt complete with 4 branch manifold if anyone is interested. I will place
this in the For Sale section once removed but anyone interested can see/drive it beforehand while it is still in the car.

Might need a lifter pump to fill the surge pot depending on the position of the pot. To cut costs a mondeo 1.8L flywheel, pressure plate and driven
plate can be used with a CTT133 (QH) release bearing. If you are going for more than about 150bhp then the mondeo clutch is a bit weedy and retro ford
will redrill a 1.8 flywheel for an uprated pinto clutch and plate and this uses the pinto release bearing.
You will also need an oil catch tank plumbed to cam cover and block.
Narrow bodied starter off 1.8CVH or DOHC.
Inlet manifold could be fabricated for motorcycleTBs to save a bit of cash.

Have I read somewhere that you can have a pinto flywheel redrilled to fit a Zetec.
If so does this mean you can use the Pinto starter and clutch??
