Which head gasket?

Hello

Going to replace the head on a 1660 crossflow, its been overbored, so I guess I need an oversized gasket, no idea what the bore size is though?

Can anybody recommend a good one for me?

Cheers

David

you can measure the bore using vernier or steel rule.

don't quote me on this but I beleive one too small is woprse than one too big since the gasket will get burnt away although since the crossflow head has no chamber then maybe not, ??

See burton power - thyey sell over size gaksets and super duper performance ones but be prepared for a wallet shock!

I've used a standard Ford gasket on my 1700. 10k miles later, still fine.

Presumably as long as the thick metal bit which goes around the bore is squished against the head and the block, it shouldnt make too much difference then?

I'll suck it and see, i'd rather avoid buying an expensive gasket if i can for now.
