mechanical fuel pump

hi guys
does anyone know if the mechanical fuel pump on a vaux ohc will be good enough to run twin 40 dells or should i fit the facet solid state pump ?if fit facet will i also need regulator?

You'll prb need the facet pump but no harm in trying the mech one to see if it does the trick....Oli.

Hi Bracey,
I have no experience with the Vauxhall pump but I did try a mechanical pump on the Pinto running a pair of DCOE40s and it was fine until you put you foot down and then the poor old pump couldn't keep up. I changed to a Facet Red Top and Filter King regulator and then we were in business.
