ZVH, which way round???
So a ZVH is a is taking the head from one engine and putting on to another. Which head goes on which block and what are the advantages supposed to be?
Surely a 1.8 16v Zetec is going to be better than a 1.6CVH? or is it a case of taking the best bits from both?

CVH head on a Zetec block.
I know someone with one in a Mk4 Escort and it's very fast. There's some info here.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Zetec bottom end, stronger and lighter?
Them the head from the CVH because the tuning bits are cheeper?
Or there's the Rs Turbo series heads to fit as well, think thats the main reason.

I always understood that it was a simple way of putting a turbo charged head from an RS turbo onto a zetec bottom end. I stand to be corrected though.
The other way doesn't seem to be as interesting anyhow. Maybe you should check in the mags such as Fast Ford or Perfomance Ford I think its
quite a big thing amongst that set.

They do it that way so they can get a power increase without having to change the turbo plumbing the exhaust and all the other bits that go on the
engine...so Im told by my local fast and furious crew.
They were a little miffed when it was pointed out to them that all the heavy speakers and other stuff they hang on sapped all the power gains

We will be campaigning a normally aspirated ZVh in next years Tiger Racing Series. Basically its so we can get a reliable engine that still qualifies
for the "8 Valve" class. Bottom end will be standard apart from heavy duty shells and ARP fasteners. Sump will be a Dunnell or Scholar
shortened baffled unit. Head will in the beginning be standard running Bike Carbs, Megajolt for ignition and a Piper 285c cam. We will rolling road
once built and then decide if we need much head work doing. It doesnt have to be expensive and the additional capacity of the bottom end will help
along with more torque than the highly strung crossflow we ran this last season just gone. Pics to follow if anyone is interested?
