Megajolt

I have (or will have) a 2.1 Pinto with ZX9R carbs, probibly with standard valves a piper 285 cam

I seriously thinking about getting a megajolt setup and I've got a few questions

- Who is suppling & assebling the kits at the moment (as near edinburgh as posible)

- I'm I likely to find the bits I'll need in an L reg escort (1.3 or 1.4)

- Anyone running with a similar setup ? if so have you got any thoughts/ maps etc

Hi

I've just ordered mine from Ray Ward[username rayward] on this forum.

He is based in Hull.

Haven't got it yet so can't comment on how good it is.

Mine will be going on a Zetec with bike carbs

I got my megajolt off zilspeed. It is the one with the edis built in, looks very neat and tidy. I think it came from kimini's or something like that. Might be worth a search.

Not fitted yet - this winters project. Planning it on my 2.0 with 285 cam, ported head (std valves) and ZZR1100 bike carbs. Im fitting bike carbs first - will get them running on std electronic ignition then switch over later. Im planning to fit brackets and sensors first whilst engine is on the stand.

No use whatsoever this reply isnt it!!!!!

I had mine from Matt Kimmins. It has the Edis unit built in and comes with a labeled wiring harness and full instructions/software CD.

Matt was very helpful and I would have no hesitation in recommending him.

I am not sure yet where to source my Megasquirt though. Self build is starting to sound tempting

Mine's from Matt too. Top bloke. Very patient when I challenged him by wanting a proper hard cut limiter including in mine!

Ok thanks for that

What about rev limits, can the magajolt setup be made to include a rev limit?

If so how does it work? (and how well does it work?)

Can luminition (or similar) rev limiters be wired into this setup ? (I think I know tha answer to this )
