Suitable Alloys for Book Chassis
What are the options for suitable alloy wheels for my escort axled book chassis car. I have considered Capri / Cortina / Early escort standard
fitments, but are there any more modern production car alloys that would have suitable dimensions? For example Peugot GTI? Mondeo five spokes? Any
others. What about studs are there any issues to look out for? Thanks.

for an escort axle'd car you need 6" wide with an offset of ET19 or less, some citroen saxo(4 stud) and peugeot 205/206 are compatable,
better off buying aftermarket rather than original though as the originals(on the saxo anyway) were fitted using studs, not bolts.
something like
These
or
These
would be OK, or you can buy mondeo.escort wheels (with ET35.et38 offset and fit 1" spacers)

As ray said. If u get wheels off a fiesta/sierra etc with more than 19mm ofset they wont go on and escort axle.
Your easiest bet is to buy new aftermarket wheels with the correct ofset of et19 or less.
I changed my axle to Cortina partly to avoid this trouble. Iv got ET38 of a fiesta with 195/50 15's on andc plenty of clearance from the
trailng arms and a nice fat ass....
Personally i wouldnt use to fatter spacers. 10mm max.
