Difference between Focus and Mondeo Zetec's

Hi All,
does anyone on here know the difference between the mondeo blacktop zetec (which I'm using) and the focus zetec? I've seen some fancy bling bits over in america, but they say they are for the focus zetec, and I'm just wondering whether there is a difference.
Thanks
Matt

not as far as I know...the focus bits I've had (plug cover, alternator brackets) have bolted straight up.

which plug cover do you have steve? I'm tempted by the Injen and AEM ones, the AEM one has a curve at each end of it which causes a bit of concern though . .

I think [but not sure] that the sumps are different.

My Zetec is from a Focus and the sump is really short.

Um...good question...I'll have a dig in my archives and try and find where I got it from.

Yes - there are differences in the sump / oil pickup. Physically, though, I'm 99.99% sure the block, heads, cam covers etc are exactly the same...

This looks fine....

The AEM one is fancier than mine which is a straight stainless plate - pretty sure I sourced it in the UK but can't find the confirmation email which tells me where I got it from.

The curves on the end are needed to ensure it can be bolted properly using all the inner cam cover holes. If you follow the link above to my gallery, then click on the picture you can see what I mean.

cheers for all that Steve, I'm currently looking for the AEM or Injen cover, though the only UK supplier of the AEM one charges £85 which is far too much for what it is. I'll keep searching . .

Matt

Be very careful I beleive that the Americans call the Duratec a Zetec in the states for some reason.
I think I read this in the Burton catalogue.
