quick shift
I have a mk2 1300cc Locost and a 4 speed box with integral bellhousing. Is it possible to make a quick shift for it? I have seen a post on a homemade
quick shift for a type 9 but I don't see a way to do that on mine. I don't have access to used parts for these in the states so it would
have to involve items that I can get here, Tks Russ

Basically a quick shift is a gearlever with a higher piviot point.
If you unscrew the gearlever you will see that it is mounted in a ball.
A quick shift has a spacer to raise the ball and longer forks to pick up the selector.
I am sure you can figure out a fix as soon as you look at the gearshift.
If I remember from my racing days (MKII escorts) it was raised about 1/2".

Hi this is the gearbox that a lot of the locost racers use and i have seen so many different ways of trying to do a diy quickshift. But trust me just
buy one from RALLY DESIGHN It
really is not worth messing around IMHO.

Kansas City, Missouri branch of Rally design? What will shipping cost for him to get them out there? It may cover a fair bit of messing around.
