engine management

Being new to this game, and getting bits off my first(?) Sierra sohc EFi donar car I have found numerous engine control devices/sensors etc.
I also notice from this site that some seem to swap injectors for carbs. I just need some guidance about refitting all these injector/engine controls and/or carbs etc. Any help appreciated. Thanks

The standard efi will not fit under the bonnet of a locost so most people dump it for carbs.

Its an easy coversion as you can loose all of the sensors on the engine other than the oil pressure and water temp senders.

All you need for a carb conversion is a suitable carb and manifold, and a points distributor and coil from an earlier sierra or something like a capri, or you could get an early version of the electronic ignition system (EDIS4 i think). If you are planning on tuning the engine you could opt for an aftermarket electronic system like megajolt, or save the hassle and buy one from H&H ignition solutions.
