TPS on gsxr carbs

I have fitted gsxr carbs to my rs2000 pinto but am unsure what the TPS does and whether i need to wire it up or just ignore it !

Throttle Position Sensor tells megajolt electronic ignition or similar where the throttle is, you can stick it on the throttle linkage to the carbs or on the accelerator pedal.

Think you will need it though.

I would have thought that the bike had a ECU controlling the ignition side, so it made load calculations based on throttle position hence the TPS (throttle position sensor).

If your using the standard dizzy setup then i think you can safetly ignore it
