205 not starting
Right, I'll try again. I had written a full massive post then go it deleted due to no subject!!
Anyways,
the wife's 205 is refusing to start and I can't figure out why. It has the Mi16 engine with Jenveys fitted, and running an Emerald M3DK.
It has sparks and the Emerald is seeing the engine turn over. I can't check the emerald itself, as I have a Mac and can't view the start
up disc. It ran fine last week, and all I've done since it fit a stereo unit, due to the previous owner keeping the stuff that was in it. I
can't see any lose wires that I may have dislodged/disconnected. I can smell fuel at the exhaust, but is it worth pulling the injectors? This is
a right PITA, due to the tight engine bay.
Any ideas on what to check/look for next? I'm now a bit lost and running out of ideas.

When you say installed a stereo - did you disconnect the battery or just plug in the stereo to the DIN connector?
You'd really need to fire up the Emerald software to get a handle on what is happening.

If it's sparking correctly it should fire on easystart . Got any? If you've been fiddling with the electrics have you checked fuses
etc? Can you hear the fuel pump? Its relay OK?

Stereo went straight into the DIN connector. Do I need the emerald in the car to check it properly? I can't do the easy start as I have to
remove the throttle bodies to get the air filter off fully. Also I don't have any easy start!
P.S The fuel pump primes.

Not sure why this has helped, but I plugged the CU coms lead in, and it now works! Why would this do anything?

Is it firing at all, or totaly dead? I the engine spinning over at normal speed?
If you are getting fuel and a spark then might be worth unclipping the cambelt cover and making sure timing hasn't moved.
[EDIT]
Oops, started replying to this ages ago and got interrupted by my daughter!

Plugs may have dried out now? possibly caused by overfueling due to CTS fault?

It wasn't moments before I reconnected the lead, so the plugs would've been damp/wet at the time. Literally the only thing I did was
reconnect the comms led! Most confusing.
