type 9 bell housing and shaft
Does any one know? Will the diesel bell housing fit the cvh engine or is there a specific one? Is the pinto one different also. I have been told the
input shaft may be too long, is this the case? i take it it could be machined down?
Thanks folks for all your help so far. I feel I am making progress now!!!

if the input shaft on the diesel box is rthe same as on the v6, you can get a spacer

If your thinking of using a diesel box, my advise would be dont. The gear ratios are crap, plus most second hand diesel boxes are sh****d out, as they
get VERY hard use. IMHO Ray.

Rusty Nuts
Almost certain to be the bloody awful ratios then. I had one fitted to my V6, (sold to me as a box from 2.8, bloody scammer), loads of revs, no speed.
