type 9 gearbox bellhousing

Help, please.

If I remove clutch bearing and then the bolts securing the gearbox to the bell housing, will the contents of the gearbox fall out!

Taking the housing off should make handling and cleaning easier.

Many thanks

nope it wont, i removed mine to clean it. Wire brush attachment in the drill and petrol works a treat!

Also just for future reference if u unscrew your belly button your arse will not fall off either

it will be fine to remove the bell housing - the bolts only hold it on, they don't hold the gearbox together

cheers

Are you sure about the bellybutton thing?
Was planning on buying a key so that SHMBO has an alternative to dieting.

She doesn't need it but won't believe that. And dieting is so much more fun together............ Yep.........

Excellent - Many thanks.

Pity about the belly button. I had hoped the steering wheel down the back of my pants would drop off - its driving me nuts!
