V6 Type 9 to Pinto

I have nearly done all the mods to fit the V6 Type 9 to the Pinto using the Caterham gearbox to bellhousing spacer.
I have had to mod the steel back plate and make up a thick steel cover for the second starter mounting point on the RS 2000 bellhousing. I have the proper RS 2000 clutch acuating lever as well, but have added the standard flat face clutch release bearing.
Will i have a problem with the release bearing dropping of the end of the tube?
I belive Burton's do a bearing that is 8mm thicker.
Any advise from those that have done it?
