Caterham HPC sump, oil level??

Next worry!!!

I overfilled the caterham HPC wet sump (foam filled jobbie) when I filled it, deliberately as they caterham crowd suggest doing this.

However, the engine smokes a good bit when very hot on the overrun from a really hard rev. It did this on both the old and new heads, and there is no smoke under load etc so I'm pretty certain its top end related.............

Dropping the oil level by 0.75 litres seemed to reduce the problem drastically, but then the top end sounded oil starved (tappety) and the oil light (a 25psi warning) started flickering at tickover. Putting 0.5 litres ish back in cured the tappetyness and oil light..............

I am worried that the oil level seems a bit of a fine thing!!!!

Anybody have any more info on levels etc with the HPC sump?
