Megajolt question?

Trying to fully understand how MJLJ V3 works:

I have 2 maps, mapa and mapb

Mapa is committed to flash

I load mapb into MJ, but do not commit.

Switch off / on, and when I upload the map from MJ I get mapb, I thought I should get mapa, because I never committed mapb.

I've read the docs till they no longer make sense, can anyone clarify for me how this all works, and which map the engine is running off and when?
