DASH???
Hi all
I am getting to the wiring stage and I am wondering what dash cluster to use. I have a rover v8 engine and manual box with sierra back axle. I do
not know what the diff ratio is. It came out of a 1990 1800LX. Should I use the sierra one or get a rover one? If so which one and what speedo
drive cable do I need?
Thanks

get an electronic speedo from someone like ETB instruments. they can then advise you on how to set it up with your wheel/tyre/diff combination
"That thing you're thinking - it wont be that."

I would also have to recommend one of the various digital dash displays. Something like the Acewell should suit your needs really - unless you prefer
the classic style guages.
linky
These should make life a whole lot simpler to ensure calibration - especially as you dont know the diff ratio. Saves having to route a speedo drive
cable also as its a sensor / magnet on the prop etc

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!
