ID the dizzy cap/arm (pinto)
Can anyone advise me what dizzy cap/arm I need to be asking for from this pic:
(Ignore the filed out arm, we were just curious as to how we could loose continuity in something that appears to be solid).
I think its a transit, but no idea of year etc?

because there was no continuity between the middle and the end my dad was curious as to how it could fail so started filing into it! Its a weird
construction inside, I expected a solid strip between the two points but its nothing like.

hmm well now its really broken
Never hacked one open tbh
I'm such a skinflint I even, spray lacquer on the caps to reinsulated them and put a bit of card under the rotor to move the spark to an
un-eaten away bit of the caps contacts
Nail varnish is good for repairing any burnt bits of plastic on the rotor

It's an early Bosch as fitted to many cars.
Alfa 33/Sud 1700
Mk1 Golf/Scirocco 1600
Early Fords as well.

There's 2 different shaft sizes in bosh dizzys, a small and large.
The small one (about 10mm i think) seems most common and was fitted on the 2 litre pinto.
The larger one (about 15mm) was on the 1.6 pinto.
The caps are all the same on the bosch dizzy from what I can make out.

thanks guys, took it into my local motorfactors and let them match it for me. Cap was bosch sierra item as most said. He reckoned black is lucas so a
bit of an odd combination that we had, he gave me a bosch equivelent that works however I forgot to ask what the particular rotor arm was to suit.
Anyhow it all works and cured the problem. no more random cutting out
