squeek from some where pinto

hi lads,i started my pinto up to day a there is a loud squeek coming from some where near where bell housing joins the engine, first of all i thort it was the cam, them i took the cover off and its getting oil,so i carnt be that,or it could be that a jernal oil way is blocked, but im really not sure where its coming from,i thort i might be the starter motor, took it off,its ok,the only other thing near all this that has oil going to it is the crank,im a bit stuck really, i dont want to just run it and hope for the best,as it seems to me that somthing ant getting oil.
can anyone asist me

without being there to listen i think it will be difficult for someone else to diagnose it,

you say it sounds like its coming from the gearbox/engine faces. are all the bell housing bolts done up tightly? its not the sandwich plate rattling?

god knows where its coming from,
i have pressed the cluch in and its still there, and taken the fan belt off and ran it,still there,it sounds like a bird cheeping,it is ether the carbs or the block,i dont really think it is the carbs, and if it is somthing dry in the block i would have thort it would have cased by now as i have been running it on and off for about 15mins.
??????????????????????????????????????

Sounds like clutch release bearing to me if its at the back of the engine.. Does the noise change with revs?

Sandwich plate touching flywheel slightly?

Was the engine rebuilt?? A dry seal can squeal but very rare.
