Zetec Rs is there a difference?

are there any major differences between the Zetec RS 1800 from a 92 fiesta and say an 1800 from a mondeo escort etc?

if there are differences are they for the better or worse, i ask because iv the chance of getting my hands on the RS one

Higher duration cams, bigger throttle body. bigger ports in the inlet manifold and a remaped ecu and should be a 130ps spec.

If the Mondeo was a 105ps spec then the Rs would also have under piston cooling jets over the mondeo.

The Manifold marked HO tend to fetch good money on ebay and one guy on here ended up with a free engine with a bit or buying and selling


Escort and mondeo have a differant sump and water pump aswell.
