duratec cost?

how much should i be expecting to pay for a 2.0 duratec engine, obviously its milage dependant, engine block, head and sump on its own, and a complete engine with ancilleries?

Flak will be able to give you more detail, but for a quick response I was looking at around £500 for a moderate mileage second hand engine before I decided on the XE route.

I notice on ebay there is one for £649, this was about the price from a scrapper, not a private breaker.

or there is always ... linky

got my ecotec for £150, probably could have got it for less if i'd gone about it the right way.

it was on ebay for £150, no bids on it, and never sold, so after the auction i emailed the guy asking if he'd sell for £150, he agreed and that was that. i didn't think of starting at £100 for some reason...

anyway, it came with plenty of other bits like gearbox etc which i sold to get some money back
