fuel pump for c20xe

I am looking for suggestions, please, for fuel pump, regulator and fuel filter - what to look out for, what to avoid, what flow and pressure needed for my engine.

I am intending to run it 'as standard' - that is with the standard injectors and ECU.

I have 8mm copper fuel lines run (feed and return) down the tunnel, but nothing else fitted at this stage. Any more info you need, just ask.

Your collective knowledge is eagerly awaited.

Thanks in advance, Steve.

I dont think you can go wrong with one of these on a standard engine

Ive bought one and it looks like a bosch copy.

I have one of those for sale along with the 8mm banjo connector you need and a post-pump injection filter if you're interested . I also have some step up/down connectors if you need to change between 12/10/8mm rubber pipe.

ETA, you should also fit a low pressure pre-pump filter and then rubber fuel pipe to connect all the bits.

Thank you two for your replies, guys - what are you using on your XE, Craig if you are selling this one?

I was under the impression that for injectors, you need a high pressure pump. The one Big Wasa is showing in the link puts out 3 bar - is that enough? The Facet ones I was thinking of getting are advertised as putting out 4 to 10 psi - I am getting confused with these units! 1 bar is 15 psi as I recall - so there is no comparison as the other therefore is 45psi.

And what about flow - galls/hr ?

Anyone shed any light?

Steve.

If you have the original fuel rail and injectors then the pressure is set by the regulator, not the pump. If it's a later engine with blue injectors pressure is 3.0Bar, earlier engines with the cream coloured injectors run at 2.5Bar.

The cars originally fitted with the C20XE used the external bosch pump very much like the one in Craigs link.

ive got some interest for the parts now Steve.

I am swapping out for carbs so need low pressure gubbins and the other stuff is left over .

MikeRJ has spelt it out with regards to pressures. Also you dont want one of those facets, theyre not for injection engines.

Injection = high pressure high flow (>40psi)
Carbs = low pressure high flow (<10psi)
