ignition not working

Hi all, been messing with the car this morning, starting the car and checking for leaks and other things, turned the engine off, but when i turn the key to restart the engine all the ignition lights come on fuel pump primes, but when i give it the final turn to start the car theres nothing, what can this be. cheers dunk.

is it just somethink like a blown fuse or just starter motor packed in?

Dirty or failed connection on thesolenoid, or ignition switch/starter?

if engine is not turning then it is soelnoid/starter motor/ignition swithc/wiring/battery issue.

you won't know if it it is igntion is not working until you have engine tunring over.

turn headlamps on, then try to run engine over, if lights do not dim, then no power is getting to the starter.

you need to check the above items.

presumably engine has not seized and basttery has not developed a fault.
