1600 Pinto Compression
My pinto suddenly developed a fault last weekend. It started running on 3 I checked all the leads, which are all new. Still running on points but they
are new.
Anyway decided to check compression and got 180psi on all 4, throttle wide open and warm engine.
This figure seems OK to me but not sure what it should be Can anybody tell me what I should expect from a 1600 Pinto.
Cheers

No too sure about pinto specfic but I would say that is a good reading.
My Mi engine give 210psi across all 4 with a compression ratio of approx 10.6-1

Try a set of plugs, I have had 2 go like that recently, once in the 7 and once in the Dub
If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation

hi, 180 sounds good and agreed plugs first
should of been able to tell by the colour when you had them out
just cause they spark when theyre out doesnt mean they are working under compression

180 on all 4 is good so no issues there.
Swap a pair of leads to see if it's a lead problem, if not take out the plug and swap for a good one.
