Air Filters for DCOE Carbs...

... anyone have any opinions about which type of filter works best for a set of DCOE carbs on a typical Se7en set-up (i.e. poking out the side of the bonnet!).

At present I have one of these, but it's getting a little tatty and may need replaced....

What sort of effect would having an air-box like this pointing forward...

... with the likes of this on the end?

Ta muchly

I'm sure this isn't important.

However.

Back in the days when I used to watch Clubmans 'A' cars from the grandstand at Ingliston, there were cars with and without airboxes.

The cars without airboxes sounded 'quite' good, but nothing like as good as the cars with airboxes.
It was as if the addition of the airbox focused the intake roar with laser accuracy onto your eardrums.

I know that's not the question you're asking, but....

Wouldn't have the green filter thingy on the front though, that's just cack.

Something similar to what you have inside the airbox.
