Fireblade to ETB Sensors

I've just tried to fit both the Temp Sensor and the remote oil pressure sensor supplied with my ETB Digidash but when I tried to screw them in after a couple of turns they started to get tight, I therefore gave up and put the old ones back in for the time being.

The engine is a Fireblade 919 and then sensors supplied by ETB both have 1/8 NPTF threads.

Does anyone know what thread size the sensor are fitted to the Fireblade engine?

Or can ETB supply different sensors?

Or am I just worrying about nothing, don't want to strip the threads in the engine

Cheers
IainL
