Not personally but my rule is....

If it can burn ye house down if it goes wrong
Or set you on fire
Or save your life
Or stop you in your car etc

Then I buy from uk n make sure it is kite marked to British standards

Oh I now have to add to the list.

If it holds water at high pressure (found that out the hard way , £28k damage from Chinese tap flexi hose

Thanks

I'd risk it on somethings, but not a fuel pump...

besides you can get a whole OE pump assembly second hand with the mont and fuel filter for the same money from a bike breaker

Which originally came from Japan

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I just ment you've got a good chance of an OE quality pump (probably still made in china, but under some kind of quality control) and most good breakers would take it back if it broke in 5mins

I think you are right it is a gamble, it might be good quality it might be carp. If someone else had bought one and was very happy with it I'd be tempted but I don't want to be the guinea pig!
Breakers it is.

I just bought some 'copy' aero catches from China.....Fitted one, and it snapped the second time I closed it. now have the OEM part from Aerocatch, and although they look the same, the engineering is far, far better.
