help please with new cam 2.1 pinto ht1 cam hell jay here hello first and thanks for reading ,i have had a problem cant get 2.1 going i am a bit
stuck got head from burton and cam they gave me a book in the shop with with there bits for sale and a small bit about cam spoke to them on phone had
not much help ,i get the tdc on the crankshaft then fit the dial disc put a pointer attatched to a bolt ie a small peice off wire poiting at number
1 tdc on disc then i get confused it rotate the crakshaft to 90 degrees past tdc which i understand then it said rotate the cam so that the number 1
valve is at full lift does it mean that it is full open or full shut ? and it said 106 degrees now i need help please

Unfortunately, i dont have a clue about cams or valves, and ive drunk too much wine...

I would say that if number1 is at full lift, then it's fully OPEN.

you need to rotate the crank to 106 degrees from tdc as in the book
then find the position on the cam where the no 1 inlet valve is fully open with a dial gauge.
Then fit the belt and set your vernier pulley.
you did get a vernier pulley didn't you?

yes did get verneir
when you say set verneir. is that at cam timing like say 106 degrees off tdc and no 1 inlet valve at full lift chheers people for help
