BEC engine Orientation

Maybe I,m answering my own question here but whats the concensus on placing a blade engine in the frame.

Looking at the photo archives some have the cylinders in line with the frame side whilst others have them in the centre line of the car.

The difference seems to be propshaft angle, ie keep the shaft straight down the car by twistng the engine or move the prop into the drivers feet keeping everthing straight.

So whats best (I prefer straight down the car) but does this reduce the pedal area ?

Cheers Mark

follow the passenger side chassis rail, this will put a slight angle on prop, (recommended) give a bit more clearance for drivers foot well too.

I moved mine back around 6" too, the passenger foot well is way too long anyway.
