Type 9 gear box oil seals

Hi all!!

I have a oil leak from in between my gearbox and engine the engine is brand new and for all i can see and taste it is gear oil, will this be the main seal around the shaft that is leaking and what kind of job is it to replace i presume it is fairly easy once the box is out, i would rather remove the gear box than engine to be honest. Any ideas or suggestions will be gratefully recieved,

Many thanks Gary

Simple to replace , remove the gearbox ,and remove the four 10mm bolts holding cover plate and bearing support shaft. Pay attention to the position it came off as it has an oil passage at its base.
Remove the seal and replace, you will need a new gasket, it could be the gasket that is faulty.

15 mins, job done. (apart from gearbox removal)
