oil catch tank
Thought i'd have a go at making a catch tank.Curious as to what is inside.the inlet and outlet must differ so as the oil can drip into the
tank?.Anyone have a sketch or cut one up?

Just make sure that the inlet points away from the outlet breather to prevent oil passing straight through, bung a filter on the top and possibly a
sight glass to let you know when it needs emptying.

When thinking outside the box doesn't work any more, it's time to build a new box

use a fairly big breather pipe from the engine, mine is 11/2", it will reduce the amount of oil being blown out!
Locost Xflow 150bhp injected! Sold :-(

i need to add a catch tank, ideally this week, but the fitting on the engine is just a large hole. I guess i'll have to measure it and cram
something in! The current filter alone cant cope.

Mine is plumbed back into the sump at the bottom where you would normally have a drain tap.
So no need for a sight glass or messy oil draining just make sure the filter is clean evey now and again
