LRP?
I have not idea if my crossfow head is modified for unleaded but assume it isn';t so am going to be using castrol additive.
I have added some but may need to drain the tank so:
a) I presume that petrol is not to be use with a CAT?
b) eventuall I will be filling up at the pump so do I put the petrol into a can, add the addtivie then pour into tank? I am concerned about the
baffles in the tank and reckon that pouoring the additvie into the tank means it won't mix well - given enough time it will by diffusion do so
tbut the baffles are solid with corner cut outs so that will take a lot of time?
There are 2 baffels and it so happens that the inlet and outlet are both in the same place so I need to pour in additve then fill up for it to mix and
then flow into the other two thirds?
... but is this something to get concerned about?

I wouldnt worry about the baffles, the fuel will mix just fine.
Mix the required amount of additive for a full tank with a can full of petrol. Tip that in the tank before you fill up, all that petrol rushing in
from the pump will make sure its mixed just fine.
LRP shouldnt be used with a CAT, and neither should any of the additives.
LRP is being phased out this year i think. Remember when setting up your ignition to adjust the timing to suit the different octane ratig of unleaded
(unless you want to run superunleaded and octane booster as well as a normal additive)

Pour it in then fill up, the baffles don't divide the tank, they just slow the movement of the liquid from side to side. First corner you go
round will mix it for you if the filling didn't get it all. Don't use anything but pure unleaded with a catalytic converter.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

If you are concerned about mixing other option is to put some fuel in first (say 2 gallon), add additive then fill up the tank.
Do you really need the additive? Ive heard of people running Pintos with leaded heads on unleaded with no problems. Even if you do get some seat
regression you can always upgrade the head later when it gets ported and new cam fitted Id be tempted to run it on unleaded and see what happens.
Kit cars dont see the same mileage as tin tops usually anyway.

They may not see the same milage, but they get thrashed a lot more. You would probably get 10,000miles normal wear within 5000miles in a locost.
The pinto I have has been running on unleaded with a System4 catalyst in the fuel line. The exhaust seats are well pitted (pics in GTS section), but
theres no really major damage to the head.
