Right Angle Distributor

I need to get hold of a right angled distributor cap for my Pinto ignition.

I am convinced that I have heard or read somewhere that a Peugeot one fits the Ford Bosch distributor.

Any body know the part number, or am I talking or thinking c**p

Cheers in advance,

The Baron

I believe its a Motorcraft Fiat part for a X-flow, guess the Pinto dizzy might be the same. Don't have a part number I'm afraid.

Have a look at Rusty Nuts post here

Right Angle Distributor Cap.
For use on distributors which normally use a DDB442 straight distributor cap as standard.

This includes all x-flow and pinto Bosch applications & the later smaller diameter CVH bosch distributors.

Typical applications are on x-flow engines so that the leads clear 40s or 45s

Hope this helps

The Ford distributor is lower than the Bosch. Also there are different flavours of twin carb manifolds so depending o nthe angle of the manifold, you may get away with Ford.

I have 1300 crossflow so lose 1 inch yet managed to fit the leads under the manifold using the smaller lead insulators plus a bit of filing in the manifold rib. Silicone leads are more bendy than copper cored ones too.

Check to see if you have a problem before shelling out.
