Fuel pump

I have fitted the Bosch electric fuel pump which would be suited to the fuel injection set up but would like to know if this pump would suit running a 38DGAS carb or do I need to swap for a different one.

if the pump is designed for injection then the pressure will be too high for the carb unless you get a pressure regulator to reduce the pressure.

Personally I would just get a Facet silver / red top fuel pump. Even if you can drop the pressure of the bosch pump using a regulator is it worth introducing extra factors into a critical path? Also, fuel injection pumps don't like sucking air, so it would need mounting low to avoid problems, whereas the facet pump can lift fuel about 1/2 meter from what I've read. Which might make installation slightly easier? :-)

Red top is no good for 38DGAS. Ive tried one with a regulator and it was way too powerful. mech pump on pinto is fine for this carb.
