Anyone dry-sumped a toyota 4AGE engine?

I'm thinking about dry sumping my 4AGE to make sure I don't blow it up during track days and was wondering if anyone else has already done it and if so, how. I'm keen to do it reasonably cheaply, so was wondering if anyone knows any cheap sources of dry sump pumps, oil tanks, coolers etc. I'm also hoping to make my own sump, so any advice there would be gladly received as well.

may thanks,

Pete

The standard 4A-GE sump is actually pretty damn good. IMHO your best bet is to leave the standard sump in place, perhaps lengthen the pickup pipe slightly, (half an inch or so) and fit an accusump. Dry sumping is obviously superior to this solution but costs £££££.

RAW Engineering use the 4AGE a lot and their demo car was using the standard sump plus Accusump for over a year with no issues. Like mine it was regularly used on track days.

I got them to fab me a baffled sump to get some more ground clearance. They offer it as an option on the kits now. You can't see but original sides act as vertical baffles in the wings.

You usually gain a few horses going dry sump but there is also a few more parts to fail.

Theres details of the RAW Engineering kits on their website at the bottom of the parts & prices page.

Oil cooler £157+VAT
Oil cooler + Accucump £355+VAT

In the picture below you can just about see all the parts on my Striker. Theres an oil filter adapter which feeds oil to the oil cooler behind the radiator (directly below the accusump). The Accusump feed is T'd into the oil cooler return line.
