would all xflow twin side-draught manifolds be the same?

Just wondering is the angle of twin side-draught manifolds for crossflow be the same?

I have one on 1300 cc and there is just about enough room for the motorcraft distributor, but let's say hypothetically I put in a 1600; being taller, the carbs will foul against the bonnet so a manifold that is less angled or even horizontal would be better - is there such a thing?

isn;t the WWW wonderful? some research shows there are 2 manifold for the different capacity engines:
1300
and 2 falvours of
1600

the top & bottom are different - look at shadow on flange for cylinder 2

there are certainly a number of subtly different ones, made by different companies at various points in history but as for specifics, no idea, sorry!

I've got a new manifold in the garage. I'll have a look later and measure it to see if the flanges are parallel or not and the distance between them.

There's loads. Different manufacturers had different angles and lengths, some came out fairly straight, some came out up and over etc. If clearance is a problem, you could take the manifold to shop with a surface grinder and have the head mounting angle ground to a different angle to increase clearance. If you are really bothered about running the carbs horizontal you can then have the carb side ground parallel to the head side as well.

DO NOT PUT ON KNOB OR BOLLOCKS!
