Coolant Pipes

I am about to plumb in the coolant pipes on my Zetec. I priced up all the elbows required.

Rather than have long lengths of silicon hose though, I thought it would be better to replace the straight lengths with metal tube.

I can find Stainless on eBay but not ally tube in 32mm (1¼ inch).

What has everyone else done??

How about car builder solutions, they will put the bead on the end for you as well as make up T pieces if you need them.
I found them quick as well.

Use aluminium tube, and be sure to bead the ends.

Another vote for CBS. They stock most sizes and will put the essential beads on the cut lengths for you.

I've used some nice chromed copper pipe from B&Q before. Cheap, looks nice and smart too. I've not ever beaded the ends, but equally, never had one fall off.

I'll second plated copper tube. Local plumbers is a great source of parts for fuel lines as well...4 years on and few 000s miles and still all as good as new.
