X/FLOW HELP PLEASE!

Hi all

Got my nice new 1300cc x/flow and was racing yesterday, The car has been rolling roaded and was ok engine is new just been rebuilt the problems i have got are.

1. number 2 and 3 cylinders have burnt the paint away.

2. when the engine is switched of it makes a massive bang.

3. lack of power and seems to be missing on full throttle.

4. Oil temp is getting up to 120c plus

any help will be gratefull before the lump comes back out.

With my limited knowledge it sounds like it's leaned out too much.

2 & 3 are always the hottest cylinders as they are at the center of the engine.

Personally I would be very unhappy about that oil temp


ps - I also love engines that go bang, especially at filling stations

Check inlet for air leaks, if it's been rolling-roaded and it's now running lean, I reckon the most likely cause is an air leak on the inlet side..
