Running trouble finally sorted. (hopefully)

I dont want to speak to soon but i think iv finally sorted my running trouble.

As some of you may remember iv had trouble since i got my car running with bogging down when accerating and struggling to rev and an arse to start when left for a few days. I had given up tying to sort it.

Finally i think iv got it. Stripped the carbs changed the pilot jets, cleaned up the diaphrams and sealed them on assembly. It revs freely now and goes very well. Just need to tweak the map which i couldnt do because my laptop wouldnt see my megajolt so as soon as thats done i should hopefully be sorted!!!! and it runs no where near as rich.

Sounds promising. Fingers crossed, but well done!

I get the same when the engine gets hot esp. on a long motorway run. I was figuring it to be fuel starvation caused by the extra heat magnifying my carbs being v. slightly lean.

What did you use to seal the diaphragms, if you don't mind me asking? I'd definitely like to sort that out first.

Post back if you need any help with the megajolt comms.
