Starter for 4age 20V BT

Hi all
I need to relocate my starter from the inlet side to the exhaust side of the engine. However the mount on my current starter (20v blacktop) does not line up with the bellhousing (Raw T9) - one side of the mount is longer than the other. So I need a starter with the same attributes as my current one but with a symmetrical mount. Does anybody know of a suitable alternative? What has everybody else used?

I have heard that the 4AFE starter can be used, can anyone confirm this or have a part number?

Many thanks for any help you can give.

Rich

I can give you the part number off the starter I use with the RAW bell housing, might be later tomorrow before I'm near it though.

Otherwise you're very close to Fensport and they used to sell the same bell housing.

Thanks bimble that would be great. I tried to ring Fensport today but they were busy all lunchtime!

OK I've got a part number off a Toyota spare which I've not used but has the bolts holes equally spaced either side of the starter nose (~58mm from the center to each bolt hole).

Two numbers on it, one next to Toyota the other next to ND (Nippon Denso).

T: 28100 15180
ND: 128000-2060

The one on the car is a generic one but I can't see the part number as its under the exhaust and wrapped in heat shielding (Highly recommended if you want it to survive). So you could reference the above numbers at a local parts supplier.

Oh just remembered the starters rarely fit first time. You need to fettle either the inside of the bell housing or the guide lip on the starter a little with a file to line up the bolt holes.
