FireBlade mis-fire
Thanks all of you guys with regards to how to make my Fireblade run well, but still no success. When I first tried it, it had the wrong ECU fittted,
bought a new and it ran OK. As explained in other postings it now runs on two/four cylinders if i'm lucky and backfires like hell. On your well
placed advice I have restricted the foam air filters to just a small slot, stripped the carbs checking all components and replacing any suspect parts,
cleaned and balanced them. Flushed out the old standing fuel and put fresh from the pump in. Checked the compressions, fitted new plug leads, and
cleaned and checked the plugs. But still it runs like sh1t. Could it be a faulty ECU, it's the only thing left, to me me it sounds like the
ignition timing is out. Barry

Got the coil packs connected the right way?
The carbed CBRs all have a wasted spark system i.e. 2 coil packs. You can get the wiring to each one mixed up often resulting in it not running at all
but its worth a check.

Try a new set of plugs , modern plugs don't like getting wet through flooding, misfire etc.

I would agree, mine was the same. Once it's flooded the plugs don't seem to recover. A full new set from honda sorted mine out.
