Twin 40's

As part of our winter work on our book shassis Locost 2.0 litre pinto we have decided to fit a second hand fast road cam & twin 40's that we brought during the build.

I have a couple of questions to ask

1. We have already have a electric fuel pump (originunknown) that we have used since the car was the car was completed six months ago, will this be ok for the 40's or to much pressure, how do you measure or restrict this?

2. I noticed there is no threaded outlet on the inlet manifold that came with the carbs that should go to the crankcase breather as on the original manifold that we have just removed along with the twin choke.

Twin 40's use a oil catch tank?

Any advice would be welcome

You need to regulate the pressure down to about 3 psi.

The main thing you need with side draughts is volume, not pressure.

You will need an oil catch tank yes, either that or vent to atmosphere, not very friendly, but ok.

2nd hand Pinto cam -- hmm Pinto cams are not exactly well known longevity.

With Pinto's always fit new cam, new followers new spray bar.
