sierra / granada diffs

Does anyone know if the drive flanges from the 7 inch LSD's are the same length as the 7 1/2 inch LSD's ?

Reason for asking is I'm building a 7 1/2 " 4.27 LSD but dont have the drive flanges. I have got a 7" Lsd and wondered if they will fit. If anyone knows the answer it will save me stripping the 7" one.

Hi Mike

I dont know the answer but have a 7.5" diff in my garage which I could measure up. Or as you are fairly local you could drop by and offer up a 7" flange.

Cheers

Easy and quick job to take off the rear covers, release the circlips and pull out the flanges for a direct comparison.

I think they are. My driveshafts came off a 7.5" 3:92 and my diff is a different 7" 3:62 and all fits fine.

Lsd Drive flanges, 7.5" are longer than 7".

Took the back off the 7" Lsd and removed the flanges. The answer is 7 1/2" Lsd flanges are longer by 4.7mm. Now got to decide wether to sell the 7" 3.62 slipper and buy a 7.5" Lsd. Or machine 4.7mm off the flanges to make them fit. Thanks for your replies guys.
