converting c20xe to rwd

Hello everybody,

I've contacted SBD about this but was wondering about a lo(-wer)cost option and thought I'd ask here.

What parts do I need for converting my c20xe to rwd and whos the most cost effective supplier?

This is to go onto a ford type 9 box,

Many thanks.

This is one of those well documented topics that comes up quite often. Try doing a search and you should find quite a bit of happy reading. NSdev did a tasty build using same engine, as have quite a few others. Loads of options for getting the fuelling and ignition working on a budget too.

I thought most folk just bolt them to a omega/carlton box? Why a type 9? it's quite an old out of date gearbox now

linky to supplier

I've checked it out. The guides are good. I think I'll be using yukspeed as the supplier as they seem cheapest.

i got a bellhousing from yukspeed.

clutch slave cylinder was off someone on here, but was for a mondeo, bought a spacer from burton power and made up my own mounting system

clutch plate needed in your case is from a diesel sierra (2.3 i think)

mmm think thats about it

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!
