red top and ecotec exhaust port spacing
how close are they? i need to start on my exhaust manifold, but i'm wondering if i could get a manifold form a race truck, cut the flange off,
and weld on a ecotec flange i got from short track.
would cost more, but a lot less hassle i'd say
edit:
or even how close the ecotec might me to Zetec and zetec E, all 2 litre

you have u2u, XE and Ecotec are defnitely the same (as is the vauxhall 8 valve)
not sure on zetec but as the 2.0 is 86 bore 86 stroke same as the vx engines then prob the same as I doubt they were much more inventive with the cast
iron block material
Retro RWD is the way forward...........automotive fabrication, car restoration, sheetmetal work, engine conversion
retro car restoration and tuning

cheers craig have you got any photos?
mine is to be used on the pickup truck remember, so the exhaust needs to go down the transmission tunnel. a one for a 7 type car isn't likely to
fit it think

This is the manifold that came with the engine, so youd need to just cut the headers away from the rest of the pipe then attach the rest of your
exhaust system to it. I think thats what you were getting at in your first post?
I can get you some pictures no probs, but i might have misunderstood

cool
might be a good start, depending on how its made.
mine really ought to be a 4-2-1 system, and has got about a 12" space down the side of the engine for all this to happen before it heads down
the tunnel
this isn't the greatest photo, but you see what i'm contending with lol
