Retro conversion - hydro to cable clutch MT75?

Having read far too many horror stories about the failure rates of concentric hydraulic slave cylinders, is it possible to retro convert a hydro MT75 (from a Scorpio) to a cable version? I know there's no hole in there for the arm (but have a die grinder..) - or am i worrying too much? A new one is about £130 for some reason

I got this specific box to allow exhaust clearance by moving the starter motor to the other side as well...

I think it's because all the problems I hear are from cars with 100k+ miles on them - that'll be about 30 years worth of driving for me!

Sod it - i'll "risk it for a biscuit" as they say (haven't got a clue who "they" are, though..). If it fails, i'll try and graft a Focus one on (about £40...)
