Twin webers fuel pressure
I have noticed that the top plate on my carbs (the large plate held on by 5 screws) leaks fuel when i have been on a run. There is a gasket there but
it seems to be happening on both carbs which is weird.
I am running about 2.5 psi from a solid state pump through a filter king fuel regulator. (tested with a pressure gauge).
Is this too excessive - if so what is the best pressure to run on a 1700 cross flow with twin 40 webers.
Thanks
Shaun

About 2-3 psi is about right. Have you fitted new gaskets? If not I would suggest you do, they tend to get left, go hard then dont seal properly.
David
PS usually if your fuel pressure is too high the carbs dribble fuel out of the small circular hole on the front, next to the trumpets.
